The elephant in the room with Nancy Trites Botkin
What a year this has been. As we gather momentum to create and navigate change in this ‘new normal’, sometimes elephants can quietly enter the room… there’s the strong one in the corner that says, ‘Who do I think I am to pull this off’, and the old seven foot old grey one that says, ‘what if my idea is not as good as I think it is, and the little one who runs around flapping ears, trumpeting, ‘I can’t do it, I’m not big enough!’ It can get so crowded that it’s hard to tell who belongs to which tail or trunk. But once you name them, and open them the door for them to leave, fear will transform into confidence as they lumber out.
