BACKGROUND

Founded in 2003, Company of Women is an organization that supports, connects and promotes women in business. It acts as a catalyst, bringing women together to support their conversations and experiences; to help build relationships and to foster connections between them – both on a business and personal level.

From the outset, Company of Women met with an enthusiastic response, and today, the organization boasts close to 300 members, representing a diverse group of women from across Ontario.

Founder, Company of Women

Anne Day has had an eclectic career from spearheading charities to working for government on women’s issues, to being an editor of a national magazine and in 2000 became an entrepreneur with her consulting practice Community Connections.  Seventeen years ago, she founded Company of Women, an award-winning organization that supports, connects and promotes women entrepreneurs.

She is the author/editor of seven books, with her latest book 20/20 – Looking back on a life well-lived and the lessons learned  coming out in the fall of 2020.  She is a serial blogger writing for publications in the UK, US and the Huffington Post, as well as her own blog on the Company of Women site.  In 2016 she founded Full Circle Publishing helping authors get their words out into the world.

She has received numerous awards for her work, including Entrepreneur of the Year, Oakville and the TIAW World of Difference Award.  In 2020 she was named Woman of Distinction in Guelph, Ontario.
